Thread is a Houston woman-owned children and mom resale boutique. Established in November of 2010. One of our goals is to provide you with the best children and maternity brands in new, to like-new condition for a fraction of their retail price without having to dig through bins and racks of unorganized questionable resale inventory. You and your family make a huge impact in the environment by shopping local, and recycling clothing, toys, baby gear, books and more. Thus, reducing the demand for more in the fashion industry. Which leads to much less in landfills! So thank you!
We strive to provide you with the best pre-loved children and maternity clothing, baby gear, toys, books, and the best customer service. We are selective in what we buy, and our customers say we pay the best rate for their items. We provide honest product knowledge, and want you to be happy with every purchase. We are grateful for your support and hope you refer us to your friends and family!
We donate monthly to local charity organizations like women shelters, teen pregnancy, animal rescue, and schools. For items we do not buy, we donate them to The Children's Assessment Center (they support sexually abused children, their families and foster families).
We love getting to know our customers, watching little "Threadies" grow, and cherish each of the relationships built over the years!
We have new inventory everyday! Find great deals on some of your favorite brands. We carry Mini Boden, Crewcuts, Janie and Jack, Gap, KicKee Pants, Kissy Kissy, Hanna Andersson, Jelly the Pug, Tea Collection, Zutano, Zara, Lilly Pulitzer, Columbia, Patagonia, Mayoral, Burberry, Prada, Dior, Splendid, Kate Quinn, Egg, Anavini, Orient Expressed, Hoy Shoe Saltwater Sandals, See Kai Run, Keen, Stride Rite, Minnetonka, Native, Naturino, Pediped, Matilda Jane, Mustard Pie, Aden and Anais, Blabla, handmade, unique boutique items, and many more.

Shop Customer, Employee, and Owner I became a Thread customer early 2012 when I was pregnant with my "Threadie" Phoenix aka my miracle baby. I found myself constantly shopping there because well, Thread has the best brands in new, to like-new condition for a fraction of retail! Phoenix decided to grace us with his presence on day one of my 24 weeks of pregnancy (six months pregnant). I remember I had just shopped at Thread the previous weekend, then I came in the day after Phoenix arrived looking for Preemie clothes. He was in the NICU for several months and while in NICU my mom was diagnosed with lymphoma. Needless to say, it was a tough year. My mom is in remission now-thank God. So NICU/cancer nurses and micro-preemies have a very special place in my heart! I left my corporate IT/Design career to stay at home and quarantine with him for two years and avoid RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus). After those two years, I was ready to get out of the house and get to work! I was always shopping at Thread so I figured why not?! So, I gratefully became an employee! Fast forward to 2015, the shop owners were ready to move on and focus on their families and other things, and I had the opportunity to purchase the shop. Being a small business owner has not been easy. Thread has endured many shop floods, thefts, break-ins, and now the COVID-19 pandemic, but I love what we are doing as a business and for our community. I hope your experience is great with us and that you share the love of Thread with friends and family! |
